Cryogenic service valves main applications are focused on LNG and LPG terminals and transportation ships. AMPO POYAM VALVES manufactures valves for the complete LNG and LPG chain, as gas is obtained from gas cameras, transportation pipelines, liquefaction, carrier vessels, FPSO’s, regasification terminals, peak saving plants, storage tanks, etc. Moreover, our valves are also used for low temperatures, offering the best solution for applications such as: Ethylene, Oxygen, Nitrogen, petrochemical plants, special processes on refineries, etc.
High skilled engineers bring together differential technical and added value advantage. Up to date design tools like 3D CAD and FEM analysis (i.e mechanic, flow, thermodynamic), advanced multibody and fluid-structure interaction modelling, adequate control of the manufacturing and supply chain as well as qualified quality assurance practices are applicable during the whole development, fabrication, and qualification processes.
As a result of over 60 years of experience in the manufacturing of cryogenic valves, being a leading manufacturer of highly engineered valves for the LNG market, especially with top entry or split body cryogenic ball valves, cryogenic gate, globe and check valves as well as cryogenic butterfly valves.
AMPO POYAM VALVES has the know-how for virtual prototyping design of such critical cryogenic valves in the whole temperature range either for LNG or liquified air gases as well as also for liquified hydrogen or helium.
Testing plays a critical role for the validation of the quality for cryogenic valves up to sizes DN2500.
Key testing facilities are test benches for hydrostatic and gas pressure tests, LN2 bathes, shelter protected area for He or N2 gas pressure test up 2000 bar, performance endurance test up to 3000 bar hydrostatic test with heat and cooling options, clean room ISO class 7 for cryogenic and oxygen service valve assembly, mass spectrometers for helium leak detection are part of the production capacities.
Cryogenic helium leak and pressure tests in LN2 bathes at 77K are daily business.
The testing technician staff is certified as Leak Testing level 2 for Trace Gas method per ISO 9712. Test procedures for leak testing of vacuum valves used for control of gas flow or vacuum pressure in a vacuum system per International Standard ISO 27895. Common practice trace methods are suitable for the verification of vacuum valve specifications.
