European Summer School on Superconductivity 2023

European Summer School on Superconductivity 2023

ESAS, AFFCCS and IEEE CSC are organizing the European Summer School on Superconductivity from June 18-23th, 2023 in Col de Porte, France, close to Grenoble.

This summer school is open to students, PhD, post-Doc, as well as researchers or engineers with an interest in applied superconductivity.

All aspects of superconductivity from physics to large scale applications (MRI, High Energy Physics, Fusion, FCL, cables, rotating machines, …) through to materials (NbTi, Nb3Sn, REBCO, BSCCO, MgB2, Pnitides…), cryogenics, instrumentation and modelling will be covered. Industry speakers will highlight the growing market for key areas of superconductivity.

Technical visits are organised on Friday morning.

This school is intended not only to provide a better understanding of superconductivity in general, but also to develop networking and a community especially amongst the young. All participants will present a poster. Enjoy hiking in the beautiful Chartreuse mountains followed by an evening in an Alpine restaurant with colleagues.

Spaces are limited, so apply early.
