Biography:
Dr. Chandra Prakash Dhard is a distinguished scientist with a career spanning over three decades in the field of plasma physics and cryogenic systems. He completed his doctoral work at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 1995. That same year, he joined the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) in Gandhinagar, as a Scientist where he contributed to the development of cryogenic systems for the Steady-State Superconducting Tokamak 1 (SST1).
In 2004, Dr. Dhard transitioned to the Max-Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Greifswald, Germany, focusing on cryogenic systems for the Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X) stellarator. By 2019, he expanded his expertise into experimental plasma physics, taking responsibility for plasma-wall interaction activities, and involved in the wall-conditioning and exhaust systems for W7-X.
