Cryo Snakes & Ladders – The Coolest Board Game Yet!
In this version of the classic game, the goal is a little different: you don’t climb up to win, you cool down!
Players start at 100 K and race toward 0 K, but here’s the twist: Both snakes and ladders raise your temperature: every heat leak, vibration, or radiation loss sends you up in temperature.
Only true cryogenic hardware like cryocoolers, superfluid helium, and good vacuum will help you cool down toward absolute zero.
A fun and educational way to explain what we do in the cryogenics community, balancing between leaks, losses, and low temperatures!
